The International Joint Research Centre

The IberoBiotics probiotic strains were developed in collaboration with the team of professors and researchers at the International Joint Research Centre for Probiotics and Intestinal Health. The International Joint Research Centre is a UK-China collaboration for probiotic & gut bacteria research, between the Institute of Food Research (IFR) and Jiangnan University. The Joint Centre is based both in IFR and in the National Engineering Research Center for functional foods in Jiangnan University.

The Team of Experts
Bayer collaborated with the International Joint Research Centre team based at Jiangnan University which comprised of 29 members: 11 professors, 11 associate professors and associate researchers. The team had won numerous accolades & achievements since its establishment including:

- 2nd prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress Award
- Chinese Patent Gold Award
- 1st prize of National Teaching Achievements Award
- 1st prize of Ministry of Education Science and Technology Progress Award
